First and most important: what an awesome God our Jesus is!

Second: the beds are sooooooo easy to build =) My camera is out of commission right now or I would show you pictures of the ones we put together last night in less than an hour. I bought four 2x10s that were 8 feet long and asked the very nice gentleman at Lowe's to cut 2 feet off the ends of each. So I now have two raised beds that are 6'x2'. I am running them along our fence so that the grapes, berries, tomatoes and cucumbers and other vines can use the fence. I am using the Square Foot Gardening Method so I will get quite a bit from just a little space. A total of 7 or 8 beds will give us more than enough to eat from spring to fall, and even more to can and dehydrate and freeze. I want to start small, though, just in case I kill something. So by next year I should have all my beds built and crops growing. I'm going to start reading up on winter gardening, which should be possible here in Alabama for a few crops. Talk to you later =)
